On November 13 and 20, Jharkhand will hold two rounds of voting. The count of votes is scheduled for November 23.
Ranchi :
Chief Minister Hemant Soren declared today that the INDIA alliance will run together in the next Jharkhand assembly elections. According to him, 70 of the 81 assembly segments will see candidates from the Congress and the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha.
“At this time, we are unable to discuss the specifics of seat sharing. Right now, our alliance partner is not present. We will finalize the number of seats and other specifics when they arrive,” Mr. Soren told reporters, adding that discussions over seat-sharing are ongoing with the RJD and Left parties, the other alliance partners, for the remaining 11 segments.
On November 13 and 20, Jharkhand will hold two rounds of voting. On November 23, the votes will be counted.
Last Election :
Congress ran for 31 seats in the most recent elections, whereas the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, or JMM, ran for 43 seats. According to insiders, however, the Congress is expected to receive between 27 and 28 seats this time around. Because it thinks Hemant Soren is a prominent figure in Jharkhand and the grand alliance will receive votes on his behalf, the JMM is anticipated to grow its share, they added.
The sources further claim that the Marxist Coordination Committee (MMC) and the Communist Party of India (M-L) wish to campaign with the JMM and Congress. In the upcoming assembly elections, the Rashtriya Janata Dal, which ran for seven seats, is anticipated to run for fewer seats and consent to grant the Bagodar.
The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) unveiled its seat-sharing formula for the state the day before Mr. Soren made his declaration. The BJP will run for 68 seats, with its allies the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) running for the lone seat of Chatra, the All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) running for 10, and the Janata Dal (United) running for two.
“So far, the NDA is at its most effective in Jharkhand. Four parties uniting to fight the elections is unprecedented in history. If necessary, NDA allies are even willing to switch seats at the last minute. We are prepared to overthrow the dishonest administration.
Every member of the NDA ought to join us in combat. Pratul Shah Deo, the leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, declared that Hemant Soren’s administration was the most corrupt in the history of the state.
Thirty of the 81 seats in the 2019 Assembly were gained by the JMM, sixteen by the Congress, and one by the RJD. With a substantial majority, the three parties came together to create a coalition administration. While the AJSU Party, which ran alone, ended up winning two seats, the BJP only won 25 seats, down from 37 in 2014.
