Centre Reviews COVID Preparedness Amid Growing Caseload (COVID CASEs – 5,756)

Covid cases in India has recorded four more COVID-19 deaths in last 24 hours, growing the active cases count to 5,756 as of Sunday. Worst hit of Maharastra of state this year with 18 fatalities, followed by Kerala with 12, highlighting a concerning rise in infections and renewed focus on public health measures.

The number of COVID cases in India has risen to 5,756 and continues to rise. The Union Health Ministry reports that as of Sunday morning, 391 instances had been reported in the past 24 hours, and 4 people had died as a result of this COVID. Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra are the states where the deaths occurred.

Kerala is one of the states with the highest number of COVID instances reported, with 127 cases in the last 24 hours, Gujarat with 102 cases, and Delhi with 73 cases.West Bengal 23 cases in last 24 hours.The Government is keeping the drills to check the hospitals ,by this the can get the clear clarity on the patients by doing the tests .

As of June 8, there have been 5,484 COVID-19 patients released from India since January 2025, with 760 of those recoveries taking place this month alone.

There have been no cases in the last 24 hours in just four states: Arunachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Tripura Chandigarh, and Mizoram.

A 45-year-old lady in Madhya Pradesh who was nine months pregnant passed away due to seizures. After testing, it was discovered that she has COVID-19. The infection killed a 63-year-old man in Maharashtra who had thyroid issues.

A 59-year-old man with severe lung cancer in Kerala passed away as a result of COVID-19 problems. A 79-year-old diabetic man in Tamil Nadu passed away from pneumonia and viral-induced respiratory issues after being bedridden for a month.

With 18 instances since January, Maharashtra has experienced the highest number of COVID-19 fatalities. Twelve people have died in Kerala. Karnataka and Delhi each reported seven fatalities. Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu each had two fatalities, while Tamil Nadu had five. Rajasthan and West Bengal have each seen one death this year.
