The Telangana High Court granted actor Allu Arjun temporary bail on Friday after he was placed under 14 days of judicial custody in relation to a woman’s death following a stampede at Sandhya Theatre on December 4, which took place before the release of his eagerly awaited movie “Pushpa 2: The Rule.” The incident happened at a theater in Hyderabad and left a 35-year-old woman dead and her nine-year-old kid hospitalized from asphyxiation.
Allu Arjun was taken into custody by a group of police officers from the Chikkadpally police station after they arrived at his Jubilee Hills home. Authorities said he was later taken to the police station to be questioned. After a sizable audience flocked to Sandhya Theatre on the evening of December 4 to see the actor, a 35-year-old mother passed away and her 8-year-old kid was admitted to the hospital.
Alongside Mandanna as Srivalli and Fahadh Faasil as SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, Allu Arjun reprises his role as laborer-turned-sandalwood smuggler Pushpa Raj in Pushpa 2.
